We provide a waste wood collection service for local building sites and recycle the wood. We sell wood for DIY and make beautiful and useful wood products in our workshops. Any wood that can’t be used is chipped for bio-fuel. Recycling reduces use of virgin timber and avoids emissions from landfill.

We give people who cannot access the job market at present the opportunity to gain experience of a real work environment, gaining confidence and useful skills for the future. Local volunteers make it happen.
Wood diverted from landfill
Waste wood from local building sites is re-used, sold on for DIY, made into products, or chipped for bio-fuel. Recycling reduces use of virgin timber and avoids emissions from landfill.

People who cannot access the job market at present get the chance to gain experience, confidence and useful skills for the future.

We collect wood from sites along the M3 – A3 corridor and towards London. We re-cycle waste wood for construction sites in and around Basingstoke, Farnham, Guildford, Aldershot, Farnborough, Woking, Staines-upon-Thames, Esher and Kingston.

How much does a wood collection cost?

Where do you collect from?
Sites along the M3 – A3 corridor and towards London: in and around Basingstoke, Farnham, Guildford, Aldershot, Farnborough, Woking, Staines-upon-Thames, Esher and Kingston.
What happens to the wood you collect?
It is sorted and re-used. Good timber is sold in our wood store for DIY and small building projects, some is made into products in our workshop, and any wood that can’t be used is chipped for bio-fuel.
Can I buy wood from you?
Yes. The wood store has a great choice of wood for small building projects and DIY, and is open 9-5 on weekdays and 10-2 on Saturdays. Come and see.
Do I need experience to volunteer?
No. We are looking for people of 18 or over from any background, and no previous experience is needed — all equipment and training is provided. It is primarily people-skills we are looking for.
